The wind is free – why not make use of it?

Mount Alexander Community Wind (MACWind) has a vision for a small wind park (2-6 turbines) owned by the community and supplying local homes with clean, renewable electricity. All profits made will be returned to the majority-local shareholders and the community. It is a project initiated and led by Mount Alexander residents.

Wind power is a cost-effective and emissions-free way to meet our electricity needs.

It is well-established and widely used in many parts of the world.
